Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup elderberry syrup store-bought or homemade ( elderberry)
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup freshly squeezed orange juice you can use store-bought
  • 1/8 cup apple juice store-bought
  • 5 tsp lime juice freshly squeezed
  • ¼ cup Beef gelatin powder  (vegan gelatin powder)
  • ½ cup honey to taste
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder or cinnamon leaf optional
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg optional
  • 3-4 cloves optional
  • Gummy molds

Step 1: Prepare the Elderberry Syrup

  • If you don't have elderberry syrup ready, don't worry! You can make a quick version at home using dried elderberries. Boil 1 cup of dried elderberries in 2 cups of water, cinnamon, nutmeg,cloves for about 30 minutes. Once the liquid has reduced by half, strain the mixture, and let it cool. Your elderberry syrup is now ready to use!

Step 2: Mix the Ingredients

  • In a small saucepan, combine the elderberry syrup, water, lime juice, apple juice, orange juice, and beef gelatin powder over medium heat. Stir continuously until the gelatin is completely dissolved. If you prefer a sweeter taste, add honey to the mixture and stir until well combined.

Step 3: Set the Mixture

  • Once the mixture is smooth and well combined, remove it from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes. This will prevent any heat-related damage to the beneficial properties of the elderberry syrup. It should still be warm but not hot to the touch.

Step 4: Pour into Molds

  • Carefully pour the mixture into your desired gummy molds. Silicone molds work best, as they make it easy to remove the gummies later. If you don't have molds, you can use an ice cube tray instead.
