Jamaican Boiled Dumpling is an amazing side dish you can pair with anything. With only 3 ingredients you most likely have them in your pantry. With only flour, cornmeal, and water that is kneaded into a dough, torn off into small pieces, rolled into a ball, and boiled in water for about 15-20 minutes. Pair it with any dish and you’ll have the perfect meal.
In a large pot of water with salt and oil place it over high heat to bring to a boil.
Knead all the ingredients together adding water a little at a time to make a soft dough (not sticky, add more flour a tablespoon at a time if the dough is sticky).
Pinch or cut off pieces of the dough and form a ball then flatten into a disc
Drop dough into the water then stir to ensure it doesn't stick to the bottom of the pot.
Continue this step util you've used up all the dough.
Boil until done, dumplings will float when they are cooked through.
