Crispy Fried Popcorn Chicken Gizzards- These are delicious, tender, and crunchy. It’s simmered until wonderfully tender, then battered and fried to golden perfection.
Clean and remove the excess fat from the gizzards then wash it in vinegar and lemon water.
Boil the gizzards or until tender for 45 minutes-1 hour in the water, thyme, scallion, garlic, ginger, pimento berries, a pinch of salt, 1 tbsp black pepper, and 1 tbsp complete seasoning.
Then cool the gizzards and season them, and let them marinate for at least 30 mins.
Combine the flour and seasonings in a bowl. Beat your eggs.
Add the eggs to the gizzards then mix them well.
Place the gizzards into the flour and shake it generously to create flakes.
Heat enough oil to cover the gizzards to 350°F (180єC) and then add garlic, scotch bonnet, thyme, and Pimento berries.
fry Gizzards for 2-5 minutes or until golden brown.
