Are you looking for a healthier, dairy-free alternative to your regular coffee creamer? You are aiming to cut down on dairy or want to add an exotic twist to your morning coffee. Making your spiced coconut creamer could be the perfect solution. Not only is this creamer flavorful and creamy, but it’s also easy to make at home.
¼cupalmond milk(or any other nut milk to thin it out)
2tbspmaple syrup or honey(adjust based on your preference for sweetness)
1tspvanilla extract
½tspground cinnamon
¼tspground nutmeg
pinchsea salt(to enhance flavors)
Instructions
Combine the ingredients in a medium saucepan. It should have coconut milk, almond milk, and maple syrup (or honey). Heat the mixture over medium heat. Stir it sometimes. Continue stirring until you have combined everything. The mixture should be warm, but not boiling.
Once the mixture is warm, add the vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, and a pinch of sea salt. Stir well to make sure you distribute all the spices.
Simmer: Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for a few minutes, stirring. This step allows the flavors to meld together.
Cool and Strain: Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the creamer to cool. For an extra smooth texture, strain the creamer with a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth. This will remove any large spice particles.
Store: Pour the creamer into a clean, airtight glass jar or bottle and refrigerate. It should keep well for up to a week.
