Ingredients
  

  • 1 bottle of Jamaican red-label wine
  • 1 cup of Jamaican rum add more if needed
  • 1/4 cup of magnum tonic wine optional but recommended
  • 1/2 cup of orange juice
  • 1/4 cup of lime juice
  • 1/4 cup of simple syrup made by dissolving equal parts sugar and water
  • 1 apple sliced
  • 1 orange sliced
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 cinnamon leaf optional
  • 5 cloves
  • 2 star anise
  • A pinch of ground nutmeg

Instructions
 

  • In a large pitcher, combine the red wine, Jamaican rum, orange juice, lime juice, and simple syrup. Stir well to ensure all the ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
  • Add the sliced apple and orange to the pitcher. This will infuse the sangria with its juicy flavors as it sits.
  • Drop in the cinnamon stick and sprinkle a pinch of ground nutmeg into the pitcher. These spices will add a warm and aromatic touch to the sangria.
  • Cover the pitcher and refrigerate it for at least 4 hours or overnight. This allows the flavors to meld together and develop a rich taste.
