How to make Jamaican Rummy Nut Ice Cream

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups Heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp Vanilla
  • 1 can can Condensed Milk preference
  • ½ cup Grape Nuts
  • 1 tbsp. Cinnamon
  • ½ tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 3 drops Rum Extract optional

Soak Raisins

  • ½ cup Raisins
  • ¼ cup Jamaican White Rum or any white rum
  • ¼ Appleton Rum or any dark rum

Instructions
 

  • The night before or at least an hour before making the ice cream soak rasins in rum (white rum and Appleton for best flavor).
  • In a large mixing bowl, whip cold heavy cream until stiff peaks form. This will create the light, airy texture you want in your ice cream.
  • After it's nice and firm but creamy add vanilla, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, rum extract, condensed milk, raisins(along with rum liquid) and grape nuts.
  • Fold in all the ingredients gently then freeze for 6-8 hours the same day but the best results are 24 hours.
