The night before or at least an hour before making the ice cream soak rasins in rum (white rum and Appleton for best flavor).
In a large mixing bowl, whip cold heavy cream until stiff peaks form. This will create the light, airy texture you want in your ice cream.
After it's nice and firm but creamy add vanilla, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, rum extract, condensed milk, raisins(along with rum liquid) and grape nuts.
Fold in all the ingredients gently then freeze for 6-8 hours the same day but the best results are 24 hours.
