Jerk Hot Dogs – Caribbean Street Food Meets Summer BBQ
Jerk Tavern
Forget plain hot dogs—these jerk hot dogs (or brats) are loaded with island flavor! Smoky, spicy jerk seasoning gives classic dogs a Caribbean twist. Pile on tropical toppings like pineapple salsa or spicy slaw for a fun, fiery summer meal that’s perfect for grilling season.
If using jerk paste, mix it with a little oil to thin it.
Brush or rub the jerk seasoning generously all over the hot dogs or sausages.
Grill
Fire up the charcoal or Preheat grill to medium-high.
Grill hot dogs for 6–8 minutes, turning often, until heated through and lightly charred.
If using bratwursts, cook until fully cooked per package instructions.
Toast the Buns
Lightly toast buns on the grill for 1–2 minutes.
Build Your Jerk Dogs
Place each dog in a bun.
Top with Caribbean coleslaw, grilled onions, pineapple relish, jerk mayo, or your favorite toppings.
Finish with a sprinkle of fresh herbs if desired.
