Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.” James 5:19-20 NKJV
Wisdom
We are all sinners in need of a Savior. As believers in the Most High we know Jesus is our Lord and Savior. He died for us so we could be forgiven.
As we go on in this life trying our best to live for Christ, we may stumble or fall back into sin. We are constantly warring in the Spirit against our flesh. Our flesh wants sin, but the Holy Spirit wants Holiness.
We will all reap what we sow. If we sow to the flesh we sin and sin leads to death, if we sow to the spirit it leads to holiness, unto everlasting life. When we see our brothers and sisters in Christ sin, we must rebuke them and turn them from the error of there ways.
Not to say that we are better than them, but to save them from death. In turn we expect the same from them. To correct us when we are wrong and change the error of our ways.
Jesus doesn’t wish anyone to perish, but for all to come to repentance. We must repent everyday, and rebuke, exhort, and comfort one another. Open rebuke is better than secret love.
We are all in this together, we are brothers and sisters and we need to look out for one another. Saving one another from death and covering a multitude of sins. Simply as Jesus our Lord and Savior said, to love our neighbors the way we love ourselves.
