Oven-Baked Honey Jerk Wings

Ingredients
  

  • Bag of Chicken wings
  • 1 tbsp Green Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Complete Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Adobo
  • 1 tbsp Dry Jerk Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Salt
  • 2 tbsp Jerk Seasoning Spicy or Mild
  • 1 tbsp Molasses

Sauce Ingredients

  • 2 cups of Water or use the water that's left back from seasoning on your chicken
  • 1/2 cup 0nion
  • 1/4 cup Sweet Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Thyme
  • 1/2 tsp Jerk Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Dry Jerk Seasoning
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup
  • 1/4 cup Honey BBQ Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Molasses

Instructions
 

  • Wash chicken with cold water, vinegar, and lemon or lime.
  • Rinse and drain water off the chicken then season with dry seasonings listed above
  • Marinate the chicken for the last 30 mins to overnight.
  • Place the chicken on a wire rack over a baking tray(To collect any dripping)
  • Bake for 20 minutes and then flip and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Save the water that is drained from the chicken for sauce.
  • Make your sauce in the meantime (while it’s baking for 20 minutes)
  • Coat the sauce on both sides of the wings then bake for 5 more minutes

Sauce Instructions

  • Add oil to a saucepan and heat the oil
  • Add the onions, sweet peppers, thyme, jerk seasonings, and garlic fry until translucent.
  • Add ketchup, BBQ sauce, sugar, molasses, and water from the chicken.
  • Let it come to a boil, then add it to the blender and blend until smooth.
  • Add it back to the pot and boil until thick and coats the back of a spoon.
  • Garnish with green onions and Enjoy!
