How to Make Sardine and Crackers Jamaican Style (Sardines in Oil)

Sardine and Crackers are a Jamaican favorite it's such a quick and easy dish that can be eaten for either breakfast, lunch, or dinner or a late-night bite. With simple ingredients like onion, sweet pepper, tomato, scotch bonnet pepper, garlic, green seasoning, black pepper, and complete seasoning.

Ingredients
  

  • 3-4 cans Sardines
  • ¼ cup Onion diced
  • ¼ cup Sweet Pepper diced
  • ¼ cup Tomato diced
  • ½ Scotch Bonnet Pepper optional
  • 1 clove garlic finely minced
  • 1 tsp green Seasoning optional
  • 2 tbsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Complete Seasoning
  • 1 juice Lemon remove the seeds

Instructions
 

  • Dice up the onion, sweet pepper, tomato, scotch bonnet pepper, and garlic.
  • Open your cans of sardines remove the bones if you want to then mash the sardines with a fork
  • Add oil to the sardine and lemon juice
  • Add in onion, sweet pepper, tomato, scotch bonnet pepper, garlic, green seasoning, black pepper, and complete seasoning.
  • Comibine all the ingredients and serve with crackers.
