Wisdom
“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”James 4:7 NKJV
As believers is Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we must submit our lives to him. We must be obedient to his words and keep his commandments. When we don’t we give place for satan and his fallen angels to attack us. They place evil thoughts in our minds, evil spirts, they have us feed into lies, they try to get us in our flesh and less of the Holy Ghost.
Everything that goes against Gods word is what they try there best to have us do. But if we can deny ourselves, pick up our crosses and follow Messiah, satan will flee. For he seeks whom he may devour, those not submitting to the will of God, people who refuse to come into his light and love the darkness.
He wants to bring as much of Gods creation with him to hell as possible. But he knows he can’t touch Gods anointed. For Jesus gives us the power to step on his head. To rebuke him with the Word when he tries to interfere with our lives, the same way He did in the wilderness.
Satan will always try to tempt us but submit to Jesus and you will overcome, for he always provides a way through it all. It’s not an easy road to heaven. Sin is easy but being faithful, loving, humble, holy, righteous, and pleasing is His sight difficult.
But the Holy Spirit is here to comfort us and help us walk on the narrow path that leads to life, where many are called but few chosen. Walk in the spirit, resist the flesh and crucify it. Resist satan temptations with the world and keep your eyes focused on the King and his Kingdom. He is coming back soon and I pray we will all be ready for his return. Resist the devil and he will flee from your life.
