Ingredients for this Pie
- Sweet Potatoes – We like to use medium sweet potatoes.
- Butter – Softened butter will mix more easily into the baked sweet potatoes when making this pie.
- Condensed Milk –Traditionally many used granulated sugar for this pie But we used condensed milk as a game-changer!!.
- Vanilla extract – The vanilla extract enhances the flavor of the pie.
- Eggs – You’ll need 2 large eggs for this pie recipe. We also like to have them at room temperature to mix into the pie filling more easily.
- Evaporated Milk – We used evaporated milk. But you can use whole milk or evaporated milk in this recipe. You will not want to use lower-fat content milk.
- Rum extract and Almond Essence- Just enhances the flavors of the sweet potato pie!!!
- Nutmeg-Using nutmeg in desserts might allow you to reduce the amount of sugar or other sweeteners you include when cooking your dessert because nutmeg adds a sweet-tasting flavor all its own.
- Marshmallows– The marshmallow takes this pie to another level of decadence and sweetness. You certainly can leave it out and serve it with plain whipped cream if you prefer, but let’s be honest, sweet potatoes and marshmallows were meant for each other! Right?

How to make Oreo sweet potato pie recipe?
- Prepare the sweet potatoes: The first step is to boil our peeled and cubed sweet potatoes in water on the stove until fork tender.
- Add butter, condensed milk, and spices: Then we add the melted butter, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, rum extract, vanilla extract, almond flavor, and salt.
- Mash everything together: Mash away until smooth and transfer the sweet potato mixture into a pre-made crust or homemade (we used pre-made.
- Top with marshmallows: Load on all those marshmallows on top of the sweet potato casserole. I like to use large marshmallows — just look at that glorious marshmallow to sweet potato ratio — but you can use minis if you prefer. )
- Heat in the oven to toast the marshmallows: we bake the casserole at 350°F for a few minutes to make sure everything is hot and to let the marshmallows on top get perfectly toasted.

How to store and reheat homemade sweet potato pie?
Allow your sweet potato pie to cool completely on the counter. If you try to put it into the fridge too early, the top can crack and condensation can form and ruin the top of the pie.
You can freeze sweet potato pie for up to 3 months. Technically, you can freeze it longer but the quality diminishes. Make sure it cools down completely before you stick it in the freezer.
Wrap the sweet potato pie tightly with saran wrap (or cling wrap/foil) and place it in the fridge. You can serve the sweet potato pie chilled, reheat a slice for 20 seconds in the microwave to serve it warm, or serve it at room temperature. if topped with marshmallows. Then bake it a little longer, uncovered, just until the marshmallows have toasted on top!

“Now to Him who can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”Ephesians 3:20-21
Wisdom
To God be the glory great things he has done and is still doing in all our lives. And we are just so thankful to have the Lord in our lives. He is enough! He loves us more than we can ask, think or imagine. In life sometimes we cannot see the way out of a situation and we think that we are stuck there forever. But like the verse about says. God will do exceedingly above all we can ask, think or imagine and he makes a way for us when there is no way! All we have to do is wait on the Lord, because when we think all hope is gone.
When we think that it’s over, Boom the Lord does an extraordinary thing that in your life that makes you know that it was He who made that move for you. He is able to do the supernatural because he is a well that never runs dry. This is why He deserves all the glory and the honor and the praise. Because when everyone has forsaken us and when our backs are against the wall. We can always depend on Him to come through for us. But don’t just come to the Lord for what He can do for you to what he can give you because serving Him is so much bigger than what you can imagine.
