“If You, Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared. Psalms 130:3-4 NKJV
Wisdom
The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good. He watches everything we do and He takes note of every idle word we speak. We all have done wrong in our lives, none of us are perfect. We have all gossiped, told a lie, maybe even cursed someone, hated someone, wished badly for someone, and so on. But God takes account of all these deeds that we do.
So if we were to stand before Him, to be judged for all the things we have done in life, who would be not guilty in His sight? Who could make it into His kingdom? We all have wickedness in our hearts, and when we follow what’s in our hearts, we do wicked deeds. God hates the wicked and He will destroy them in the end. This is why He must be feared. He can destroy both body and soul in hell, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth and the worm does not die. Lucky for us we have a merciful God. A forgiving God, a good good Father. Who, once we believe that He is, will grant us the gift of repentance.
Will make us repeat the death, burial, and resurrection of His Son, unto new life by being baptized in His name. Then will seal us with His Holy Spirit to renew us and transform us, to change our wicked ways and our wicked hearts once we seek Him more than anything in this world. Eating His flesh and drinking His blood daily. Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is our whole duty.
