My husband and I have been really obsessing over Lamb Chops lately. Funny enough we’ve only tried Lamb about 2 times before we started cooking it. We fell in love with it at the restaurant Seasons 52. No wonder God said the Lamb was a sweet-smelling aroma to him. I mean we’ve been literally making Lamb once a week every week for months lol.
I know Lamb is so expensive especially Chops but it’s so worth buying. You will not regret it. I was so skeptical about the price but it’s a must-try. Actually, I think it’s my fault why we eat it so often, once I like something I obsess over it.
We had the plates on repeat until I got I cannot stand it. I mean who wouldn’t get bored of the same food over and over if it’s been months of it? Not me lol this Lamb Recipe is so addicting I cannot get enough of it. This recipe is one of those staple meals that you cook over and over.
How to cook Jerk Lamb Chops?
Marinating not only makes the meat tender but also adds moisture to it, further making it juicy. Sear the lamb on both sides for 4 to 5 mins. Then put it in the oven for 20-25 mins flipping it at the 10-15 min mark. When you make your sauce add it in at the 20 min mark. Not all lamb recipes have the same time cook time because there are many different parts of the lamb. The exact taster oven is used below!
What seasoning is best for Lamb?
Other herbs that work well are oregano and mint. Spices like coriander, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, chili powder, mustard powder, or paprika will add a nice kick to lamb chops. but our fave of them all is Grace Jamaican Jerk Seasoning. How to make Jerk Lamb Chops
- Wash Lamb with water and vinegar then rinse.
- Combine all dry seasonings (full list below) in a bowl and mix well.
- Add oil to the pot.
- Add Lamb Chops to the hot pot.
Add to oven or hot toaster oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit /176.7 degrees Celsius for 15-20 mins
- Make sauce
- Take your Lamb out of the oven
- Add your sauce to the Lamb
How long should you marinate lamb?
You should marinate your lamb for no less than 3 hours but, we would recommend you marinate your lamb overnight (24 hours)! Freeze up to a week when you’re having a get-together. Your guests will not know what hit them.
Should I grill or fry lamb chops?
Depending on what type of dish you are going for you can grill or fry your lamb. In this recipe, we seared our lamb and then finished it in the oven/toaster oven.

Fresh lamb meat should have no foul smell, and the smell shouldn’t be too strong but always wash your meat with cold water, vinegar, and or lemon.
What can I use to tenderize lamb?
Washing with vinegar will also tenderize your lamb. Because it is an acid be sure to wash off the vinegar well before seasoning your lamb.

Jerk Lamb Chops with Sweet Sauce
Ingredients
Sauce Ingredients
- 1/4 Cup of Onion
- 1/4 Cup of Sweet Pepper Green
- 1 Cap full Olive Oil
- 1/2 cup of Water
- 1 tbsp of Ketchup
- 1 tsp of BWW Honey BBQ Sauce
- 1 tsp of BWW Asian Zing Sauce
- 1 tsp of Sugar
Lamb Ingredients( Dry Seasonings)
- 1 tsp Adobo
- 1 tsp Complete Seasoning
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 2 pinches Pink Himalayan Salt
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Garlic Power
- 1 tsp Garlic Salt
- 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 tbsp Jerk Seasoning
- 2 tsp Browning
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tbsp Minced Garlic
Instructions
- Always was hands before cooking
- Wash Lamb Chops with water and vinegar then rinse.
- Combine all dry seasonings to a bowl and mix it well.
- Add 3/4 of your seasonings to the Lamb (save the rest for your sauce)
- Let it marinate for at least 30mins (but if you can marinate overnight that would take it to a next level)
- Add oil to pot
- Add Lamb Chops to hot pot
- Keep Lamb on 5-8min each side to get a nice brown char (on medium heat)
- Add to oven or hot toaster oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit /176.7 degrees Celsius for 15-20 mins
- Step 8 has to do with your preferences we like ours well done
- Take out your Lamb out of the oven
- Add your sauce to the Lamb
- And serve with what ever you like

- Grab sauce pot
- Add onions to a hot sauce pot
- Add sweet pepper to pot
- Cook the onions and peppers until semi soft
- Add water( tip: to get all your flavors fill the pan that had the seasoned meat in it.)
- Add rest of dry seasonings
- Add Ketchup
- Add Buffalo Wild Wings Sauces(Honey BBQ , Asian Zing)
- Mix it well
- Add Sugar
- Mix it well
- Let your sauce simmer for about 5 mins

My favorite appetizer when I go out to any restaurant that has it. This is an amazing recipe. Try Brooklyn Chop House Lamb chops for a date night and then make this at home. Tastier and save some money. Love the recipe.
