Mackerel FAQs
Do you drain canned mackerel?
Draining canned mackerel depends on the kind of canned mackerel, if it is in tomato sauce then do not throw away the tomato sauce you need for this recipe. But if it’s mackerel in oil then, discard the oil and water from the can. The oil contains umami (savory flavor), but the fish smell bothers the dish, so I prefer to drain it. Wrap it up with a paper towel to remove the extra oil and water and set it aside.
Can you eat canned mackerel straight from the can?
Canned mackerel is a convenient and easy-to-prepare food. You can eat it straight from the can or cook it in various recipes.

“And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need, not a physician; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” Luke 5:31-32 KJV
Wisdom
esus is the Son of the highest God. He was sent to die on the cross so we could be forgiven for our sins. By the blood he shed, he covers us, and once we repent of all the evil we have done in our lives He forgives us. He was known for hanging out with sinners. The rulers back in his time couldn’t understand why. They thought they were holy and they put themselves above people because they felt they were more righteous than everyone else.
But the truth is we all are the same. None of us are good, none of us seek God, and none of us are without sin. But by his blood, his mercy, and his grace, we can be forgiven. As long as we truly turn away from our former lusts and iniquities, and devote our lives to serving Him, we shall be saved. Repent and believe in the gospel, the good news that Jesus died and rose again after 3 days. Receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, and be welcomed into His kingdom with eternal life. Time is short, no one is promised tomorrow. Believe in the Son of God for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
