“Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.” Philippians 2:3 NKJV
Wisdom
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. He is the ultimate role model for us believers in this life. He said, “pick up your cross and follow me”. Jesus put us, his creation before himself. “While we were yet sinners Christ died for us”. He forgives, shows mercy, humble, a righteous man who knew no sin, but was murdered for our sakes.
Christ was never selfish, or conceited and he is the son of the highest God. he did so many miracles that not even the world itself could hold it in a book if we were to write them all down. He prayed for us, healed the sick and the lame. Gave sight to the blind. Casted out demons, and so much more. He was selfless, he didn’t care who you were. He hung out with sinners because he wanted to save them. We must be the same. At times people in this world make it hard for us to forgive, love, to fellowship with them.
But we must show the same love to all people in this world regardless of how they are. For we were all sinners before Jesus came into our lives. We are no better than others. We were all born in sin shaped by iniquity. If anything we should esteem others better than ourselves because some of us have done things we know we are not proud of.
But thank the Father for Jesus who forgives us, and has washed us, and made us new, to now live life for him. Remember who you were before you came to Jesus, and keep in remembrance your testimonies on how he has saved you from the sinful past, so we can continue to be humble. Boast in God and not in yourself, for he did the works to save us, all the glory belongs to Him. Try not to be selfish or conceited, be humble in all your ways, and put others before yourself the way Jesus did for us.
